The BoatThe AMAROK is a 1980 41' Morgan Outisland cutter-rigged ketch, which can accommodate up to six guests. She has constantly been upgraded and is maintained in top condition by her owners Joe & Angela. Powered by a 2000 71-hp Westerbeke diesel and a 5-kw Westerbeke generator. She carries a full sail inventory for all conditions including a spinnaker. For your comfort she is tastefully decorated and fully air-conditioned while at dock, has hot water and a private shower for our guests. She has an AM/FM CD player, so bring your favorite music. The outside center cockpit is covered by a Bimini top and dodger for your protection from the sun and spray and has very comfortable cockpit cushions. For your safety the AMAROK has up-to-date electronic navigation and radio equipment in compliance with U.S. Coast Guard and Bahamian requirements (including an EPIRB and comprehensive first aid kit). The AMAROK also carries fishing gear, snorkeling gear, and a rigid inflatable dinghy with outboard.
The CrewBoth Joe and Angela hold United States Coast Guard Masters licenses for carrying passengers for hire. Joe has been sailing in the Bahamas and Florida waters for over 30 years. A former biologist, he is qualified in first aid and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation. He is a skilled skin diver and fisherman, supplying Angela with most of the seafood used to prepare her delicious meals. Angela has over 25 years sailing experience in the Bahamas and Florida waters and is an excellent chef. She is qualified in first aid and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation. Her cookbook is entitled "Good 'Tings From Da Galley". Together both have sailed over 600 successful charters. "Good 'Tings From Da Galley" has over 75 recipes served on board the AMAROK from years of chartering in the Bahamas. Included are recipes such as cracked conch, grilled tuna teriyaki, lobster curry, honey garlic chicken, eggplant lasagna, breads, salads, appetizers and soups. The cookbook can be purchased on board or by mail. The cost is $21.95 + $2.00 shipping and handling. A gift card can be enclosed if purchased as a gift.
